Aspirations
Who knew that getting your boogers sucked out could be so fun?
For some reason I was perplexed by how to get the boogers out of the aspirator. It seems like things were meant to be sucked in, and it’s a solid piece of rubber, so how is one meant to get things back out? Thank goodness for mom-friends and Facebook; turns out all you have to do is suck up some warm water and blow those boogers out!
This is just one of many little things I’ve learned in the past 2 weeks. Among others:
- Breast milk is sticky.
- Taking a crying baby into a public restroom makes other people look at you all shifty like.
- I can fall asleep within about 3 seconds of laying down.
- Snaps become extraordinarily complex at 3am.
- Babies can have clogged tear ducts which results in them getting gunky, oozing eyes that sometimes stick shut.
- I can type remarkably fast with one hand.
- Spellcheck is a necessity when typing one-handed.
- Baby sneezes are the cutest.
I’m sure there are other, more meaningful observations to be made, but with a whimpery baby in the background and just a few hours’ sleep under my belt, this is all I’m up for at the moment. Do you have any new baby tales to tell? I’d love to hear your stories!
